2021-2022 - ELCO United Travel Season
Thank you for registering for child to participate in the 2021-2022 ELCO United Travel Season of the Myerstown Soccer Club. Please take this time to read this message in its entirety.
It is no secret that we are in uncharted territory in our society at this time. Between Social Distancing and the mandated shutdowns of things deemed “non-essential” it is difficult for our club to move forward with any certainty. With that in mind as a club we have decided to prepare for anything. We have made the decision to open registration for the 2020-2021 Elco United Travel Season. Please read the following policy updates before moving forward.
Covid-19 Legal Policy
Myerstown Soccer Club will follow all guidelines set forward by the Center for Disease Control, the PA Department of Health, and our governing body Eastern PA Youth Soccer. We will also abide by any Federal, State, or Local ordinances concerning the health and welfare of our children. The health and safety of our children is our number one concern.
Covid-19 Financial Policy
Myerstown Soccer Club understands the very turbulent financial situation this pandemic has created for our families. We are doing everything we can do keep costs down during this time. This includes looking at lower cost uniforms and guaranteeing full refunds for seasons lost.
Covid-19 Health Policy
Myerstown Soccer Club is committed to making the safest environment possible for your child. We are in the process of adding a Board Member with the position of Club Safety Officer. This position will be responsible for keeping our coaches and volunteers up to date with all safety guidelines handed down from Center for Disease Control, the PA Department of Health, and our governing body Eastern PA Youth Soccer.
Covid-19 Volunteer Policy
If we are certain about anything it is that we will have a great deal of sanitary guidelines to follow due to the pandemic. We are creating a new volunteer position of Coach’s Aide. You will not be responsible for any coaching or instruction. Your responsibility will be to help with sanitization and distribution of the equipment and facilities. This may include checking to make sure all personal equipment such as water bottles and balls are properly labeled, wiping down shared equipment after use, and anything else that will keep our children healthy and safe. At this point this position is voluntary but understand that if we do not have enough volunteers to keep our kids safe, we will not have a team.
Lastly we just want to thank you in advance for your patience as we try to give your kids the best overall soccer experience possible throughout these difficult times.
