Create a soccer experience where participants learn to develop a better soccer abilities and become better people with strong leadership qualities.
To create an environment where mistakes are viewed as a learning opportunity for participants to learn from. By using guided discovery educational techniques we want our participants to solve their problems and create positive behavioral habits using periodization to deliver realistic experiences to develop core values and good soccer IQ. We see the game of soccer as an extremely enjoyable, problem solving game which challenges participants mental, physical, psychosocial, cognitive ability to develop their decision making, their technical skill and their tactical awareness. Mastery of all is our goal. Participants are defined as players, officials, coaches and spectators / parents.
Our Competitive Program Mission Statement
Martin United will use" E learning" in addition to traditional coaching educators to deliver the club’s philosophy for creating a developmentally appropriate, realistic game like training environment, so that players can learn to develop in a challenging and fun learning environment. Our USSF qualified coaches will use guided discovery educational techniques and visual learning aids to instill a team culture that achieves a “mastery” for respect, discipline, teamwork, dedication and commitment while learning the technical skill set and tactical knowledge to play the game on the field.
Our core Values
Enjoy soccer; a holistic approach to player development, always be properly prepared; have desire; be hard working, be supportive; be respectful, be trusting, be prepared to learn new things and from your mistakes; be on time; be dedicated, be focused, be enabling, be empowering, be a leader.
Richard Creber, Club President
“Our club philosophy is simple. Our values are clear. Our intent is transparent. We are not revenue driven. Our board is made up from valued community volunteers who are in it for the kids. We are focused on player development. Our membership understands that and they agree to uphold the club's rules/guidelines. Our membership prefers to have like minded families in the club that help to develop our youth athletes in a positive way, on a path of sustained and measurable growth, that focuses on a player's development both on and off the field."
