WELCOME TO 2020-2021 AND SOME INFO ON PAYMENTS
Thank you for registering with WSA Soccer for the 2020-2021 seasonal year. You will be asked to pay a minimum of $5 today to complete the registration. You can choose various payment plans available for your convenience.
WSA Soccer has offered the equivalent of a ONE MONTH WAIVER for the 2020-2021 seasonal year due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding COVID19. Instead of the normal 12-installments for 2020-2021 the club will be collecting 11-installments, with no JUNE 1st installment collection. Your coach, the club's leadership, referees, administrators, have all graciously offered to help participate in this via their pay expectations. Please thank your coach. We appreciate YOU and YOUR patience and understanding during this unique time in human history as you stand alongside each other embracing an attitude of "We are in this together".
SELECTING YOUR TEAM
Please also select your team during the registration process. You will be notified of your team placement prior to June 1st. If your child is not offered a roster spot on the team you select at registration, and you choose to not accept a roster spot on another team, you will be released from the agreement. Please immediately contact the club's registrar and admin staff if your team placement requires a release (see club's website for the admin staff contact info). IF YOU CANNOT FIND YOUR TEAM IN THE DROPDOWN PLEASE SELECT ANY TEAM IN YOUR AGE DIVISION.
THE GIRLS ACADEMY LEAGUE
If you will be participating, or intend to participate on a team in the GA (The Girls Academy League) please select from one of the payment plans for The Girls Academy League. If your team assignment changes our admin staff will happily restructure your invoicing for payment plans for the other league platforms, and refund any necessary relevant charges.
SOFT COMMITMENT
If during the period of May 15 and June 1 of 2020, you are registering, you will be making a "soft commitment" to WSA. This means the club will afford an unconditional release, upon request, in this time window. Since the club believes your primary commitment is to your team community, and not your club community, we will ask all parents and players to respect the team and teammates in this process of commitment. Your commitment affects others, and your responsibility to others transcends the club offer of a soft commitment. We appreciate again the spirit of "we are in this together".
COVID19 RETURN TO PLAY & CLUB COMMITMENT TO RETURNING PLAYERS
No parent or player should feel any pressure to return to play before comfortable. As a result WSA as an organization will offer to place all returning players on teams through this process, even if unable to attend the "open sessions" (formerly called tryouts). Likewise, WSA as a club and leadership will encourage team coaches to accept all returning players back to the player's previous team with the understanding that during team formation the "previous team" may take on a new form in terms of player composition or coach assignment. In the spirit of "we are in this together" likewise through this registration process for any NEW PLAYER the club will be committed to team placement on behalf of the player. This process will include an extended evaluation period throughout June as we expect "return to play" to become more comfortable for all.
COVID19 SAFE PROTOCOLS & COVID19 SURVEY REQUEST HEREIN
The club has increased it's cleaning routines, including upgrading to medical grade cleaning for restrooms, adding dividers in restroom facilities, signage as reminders, signage to control distancing and occupancy at restrooms, shut down clubhouses and concession stands indefinitely, educated coaches on best practices, including a "vigilant first five" (coaches being attentive to any players appearing sick), institution of new policies regarding shared practice bibs, not allowing shared water, not allowing high fives or handshakes, and some modifications to what is allowed on the training ground and how to improve some distancing in drills. WSA will also collect information during this registration process in an optional survey, and would appreciate your participation, to help a pre-screening process to ensure safety and peace of mind for all participants.
PLAYERS UNCOMFORTABLE ATTENDING OPEN SESSIONS
Please review the club's directory and be sure to contact both the appropriate Coaching Director and appropriate team coach to inform the staff of your intent to participate, but reluctance to return to play at this time. Some staff will point you to the club's "Virtual Evaluation" system or coordinate a future evaluation on your behalf once you are comfortable to return to play.
